Documentation

Everything you need to set up, sell, and grow with the DeshiPOS point-of-sale system.

Getting Started

Set up your account #

Create your DeshiPOS account and configure your store profile.

Welcome to DeshiPOS! Setting up takes only a few minutes:

  1. Sign up with your email and verify your address.
  2. Enter your store name, address, currency, and timezone.
  3. Upload your logo — it appears on receipts and the dashboard.
  4. Invite your team members from Settings → Users.

Once your profile is complete, you are ready to add products and start selling.

Dashboard overview #

Understand the key areas of your DeshipOS dashboard.

The dashboard is your command center. From the left menu you can reach:

  • Sell — the point-of-sale screen for ringing up orders.
  • Products — your catalog and stock levels.
  • Customers — profiles, purchase history, and loyalty.
  • Reports — sales, taxes, and inventory insights.
  • Settings — taxes, payments, hardware, and users.

Sales & Billing

Make your first sale #

Ring up an order and take payment in seconds.

To complete a sale on the Sell screen:

  1. Search a product or scan its barcode to add it to the cart.
  2. Adjust quantities or remove items as needed.
  3. Tap Charge, choose the payment method, and confirm.
  4. Print or email the receipt to your customer.

Stock counts update automatically after every sale.

Discounts & promotions #

Apply percentage or fixed-amount discounts at checkout.

DeshiPOS supports both line-item and whole-cart discounts:

  • Line discount — tap an item in the cart and set a % or fixed amount.
  • Cart discount — apply a discount to the entire order before charging.
  • Promo codes — create reusable codes under Settings → Discounts.

Refunds & returns #

Process a full or partial refund and restock items.

Find the original order under Reports → Sales or via receipt lookup, then:

  1. Open the order and tap Refund.
  2. Select the items and quantities being returned.
  3. Choose whether to return the stock to inventory.
  4. Confirm — the refund is logged against the original payment.

Inventory

Add & manage products #

Create products, set prices, and organize them with categories.

Go to Products → Add Product and fill in:

  • Name, SKU, and barcode for quick lookup at the till.
  • Price and cost — cost powers your profit reports.
  • Category and tax class for accurate grouping.
  • Variants (size, color) where a product has options.

Stock & low-stock alerts #

Track stock levels and get notified before you run out.

Each product has a live stock count that adjusts with every sale, refund, and stock take.

Set a low-stock threshold per product to get an alert when it is time to reorder. Use Products → Stock Adjustment to record deliveries, damages, or manual counts.

Reports

Sales & tax reports #

Review revenue, taxes, and best-sellers by date range.

Open Reports to see:

  • Sales summary — revenue, orders, and average basket by day, week, or month.
  • Tax report — collected tax broken down by rate, ready for filing.
  • Top products — your best-sellers and slow movers.

Every report can be exported to CSV for your accountant.

Settings & Hardware

Payments & taxes #

Enable payment methods and configure tax rates.

Under Settings → Payments you can enable cash, card, and mobile wallets, and connect a supported payment terminal.

Under Settings → Taxes, add the tax rates that apply to your region and assign each product a tax class so totals are always correct.

Receipt printers & hardware #

Connect printers, cash drawers, and barcode scanners.

DeshiPOS works with most standard ESC/POS receipt printers, cash drawers, and USB or Bluetooth barcode scanners.

  1. Connect the device to the same network or pair it via Bluetooth.
  2. Go to Settings → Hardware and tap Add device.
  3. Send a test print to confirm everything is working.
